Getting there is genuinely easy — and parking on event days is the part most first-time visitors are pleasantly surprised by.

Arriving by car

Yas Island is signposted from the main highways, and the Yas Bay area at the southern end of the island is where the arena stands. Set your navigation to Etihad Arena, Yas Bay, and follow the on-site signage for event parking once you reach the waterfront.

On show nights traffic builds in the last hour before doors, and the security check takes a few minutes on top of that. Arriving 45 to 60 minutes early turns a stressful arrival into an unhurried one — and gives you time to find your block.

Parking at Etihad Arena

Four facilities serve the arena, and all of them run on the PARKONIC smart-parking system with automatic entry and exit.

P1 — one of the two main event car parks next to the arena.
P2 — the second main event car park.
Lifestyle Parking — serves the Yas Bay lifestyle and dining area.
Yas Bay Multi-Storey Car Park — covered parking, useful in summer.

Is parking free?

On officially scheduled event days parking in these facilities is complimentary for all visitors. You drive in and out without a charge and without needing validation, unless the organiser announces something different for a particular event. There is also waterfront public parking nearby if the main car parks fill up.

Taxis and drop-off

Taxis and ride-hailing use a dedicated drop-off point at Yas Bay, marked C37, rather than the car park entrances. Ask your driver for the arena taxi drop-off and you will be let out a short walk from the doors.

Leaving is the busier half of the evening: demand for cars peaks the moment a show ends. If you would rather not queue, walking a few minutes into the Yas Bay promenade before ordering a car usually gets you moving faster.

Accessible parking and drop-off

Designated accessible parking bays are available, and there is a dedicated pick-up and drop-off area for guests with reduced mobility. Lifts and escalators then serve every level of the arena.

Planning the whole evening

Yas Bay has restaurants and bars around the arena, so an early dinner before the show is realistic without leaving the island. Once you have your tickets, everything else is a five-minute walk.
